Lovely and iconic location - clean and comfortable to stay in.

A tremendous place to stay as a couple or with a family. Very quiet, extremely clean and tidy. Would come back in a heartbeat. Can't recommend it enough. Thanks Paul.

We stayed with another couple for one night and both couples had a great time with plenty of room. Accommodation was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to enjoy a pleasant evening after visiting Port Arthur for the day.

We spent a great weekend at Bay Retreat with some family visiting from interstate. It was a lovely, peaceful place to stay yet so close to a great variety of things to do in the area. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. It is definitely worth a stay!

Bay Retreat was a great spot to spend a night after four days on the Three Capes Track. As three couples we were able to freshen up before a celebratory meal at a nearby restaurant and then enjoy a good nights sleep in comfortable beds. Cooking our own breakfast with supplies bought locally was great before we scattered to different parts of Australia. Great that a place like this was available for just one night.

Could not have asked for a better situated stay... only word of advice... bring an oyster knife as we ate hundreds shucked from the foreshore!

Stayed at Bay Retreat on our single night visit to Port Arthur.
Along with most of Tassie, we had not allowed ourselves sufficient time to relax and explore.
The 'Retreat' was ideal for 4 Adults, very clean, comfortable, well situated, nice beds. We took advantage of the BBQ, the outdoor table and the view over the Bay. Couldn't have wished for more.

Fantastic quite location with easy access to the bay with clean, tidy accommodation and comfortable beds. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quite getaway close to Port Arthur.

Seven of us stayed before and after doing the Three Capes Walk. A gorgeous secluded and convenient location right on the waters edge.

I took a friend from interstate to the delightful and private Bay Retreat property in March 2015. We were both very impressed with the location and the house itself. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but since I have been home I have been telling family and friends about how enjoyable our stay was. I definitely intend to stay again, the next time I visit the Peninsula. The property is so private, but so close to all the attractions in the area. It was very special to be able to see the historic site across the water. To the owners of the property: you have a real gem hidden away in the bush. See you again soon. Kind regards from Linda.

Wonderful house, great views, right beside a gorgeous beach and a 20 min walk or 5 min. drive to the Port Arthur historic site. Highly recommended!

We had a great night with our two young children. A well located place to stay for families and a perfect alternative to a motel. Unfortunately we could only stay one night, but Bay Retreat would be the perfect spot to spend a few nights and explore the area.

We recently had 4 nights at Bay Retreat and it was wonderful. The house is beautiful with its bush setting and bay views. We saw bandicoots, potaroos and heaps of birds just from the front porch. Hopefully we will be back again as we couldn't have asked for more.

Sadly we only had one night to spend at Bay Retreat which is ideally located close to Port Arthur with a beautiful scenic view and a sense of being out in the bush. A comfortable spacious home that accommodated 2 couples comfortably.

We had a very relaxing 3 night stay in January 2014. It was so private and peaceful staying in such a lovely bush setting, yet so close to the water. It was great being able to see across the bay to the Dockyards at the Port Arthur Historic Site and the Isle of the Dead. The facilities were excellent and we especially appreciated the spacious layout and having a second bathroom/toilet. We have no hesitation in highly recommending the Bay Retreat as a well-located and comfortable accommodation facility on the Tasman Peninsula.

Our extended family stayed, unfortunately, for only 1 night at this sparkling clean and impressively well-appointed property. Very private but in a great position to access all the tourist spots on the Tasman Peninsula. Would definitely recommend!

Comfortable and clean and tidy. Ideal home stay for a day or more and close to Port Arthur. Our two teenaged grandchildren from Queensland thought the accommodation was "wicked".

Our family of 4 stayed overnight in September and loved the house, and the close proximity to Port Arthur and surrounds. Found it good value and could have stayed longer.

We stayed here in November with some Aussie friends. Great place, very comfortable and ideal location for Port Arthur historic site. We enjoyed strolling along the beach and chilling out in the area. Very comfy beds and all the facilities you could want. Enjoyed watching the bunnies on the lawn in the early evening.

Had a great 2 night stay with our friends from UK, house had everything we needed. Great location. Will stay again if in that part of Tasmania.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Bay Retreat with a couple, two children and an elderly parent comfortably housed. It is a beautiful quiet and tranquil location, and the accommodation is warm, comfortable and well provisioned.

I enjoyed my stay at Bay Retreat, it was a nice place to relax and even though the weather was a bit cool at that time of the year I was still able to take a nice walk along the foreshore. The accommodation was excellent and I managed to spend a little time sitting outside taking in the fresh air and the scenery. I stayed two nights after driving down from Launceston and was able to take in Port Arthur, and Tasman cruises before heading back to Hobart. I would recommend the place to anyone. My husband and I and our two daughters stayed at Bay Retreat in early December 2012 and would recommend the property to others visiting the area. It is located in a peaceful setting and the house itself is well provisioned and very clean.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights during our 7 day trip with my family visiting from Hong Kong in November 2012 and it was the best! The price is the cheapest for 6 of us but the quality of the property is the nicest out of all the ones we have stayed in. It was located close to the beach which is perfect for a stroll after using the very well appointed kitchen. Hopefully the recent bush fire doesn't affect the beautiful environment. We will love to be back next time~

We visited Bay Retreat just before the fires in December 2012. It is a quiet situated house just a few kilometers from the historic town of Port Arthur. The house is a few hundred meters from the road in the bush with a beautiful view of the bay. It is modern and fully equipped with a large garden to sit outside. For everybody who likes nature and rest I can recommend this house.

Bay Retreat is in a lovely location, just 5 mins drive from Port Arthur. It is quiet and private and very close to the bay. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and the kitchen was very well equipped. I would recommend a stay at Bay Retreat. It is a great base to explore the Tasman Peninsula and Port Athur.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at bay retreat. Very private and greatly appointed making it feel like our home away from home. Have recommended it to our family and friends and we will definitely stay again.

We stayed at the retreat for a two nights in March. Configuration of the bedrooms meant two couples had privacy and there was another room for children. Very clean and very well located. It made our trip to Port Arthur very special and the Princess Cruise Line pulling up outside in the bay was fantastic. Excellent facilities - will stay again if we are ever in Tasmania again.

My family, including three young children, stayed at Bay Retreat in April. It was perfectly positioned near Port Arthur and a short drive to the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The outdoor areas were great for the kids to run around and we enjoyed using the BBQ facilities. We would highly recommend staying there for anyone visiting this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful house, and as it was our first night in Tasmania for this trip, most other places we stayed played second fiddle to this one. We would be happy to stay there for a longer period of time on our next trip, and would recommend it to our friends.

I stayed at the Bay Retreat for my pre wedding night with my bridal party. Very good for share accommodation. All the girls had a wonderful time and the cleaners in the morning let us stay a little over time getting ready for the wedding! Money well spent :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed Bay Retreat and are planning a return visit in the warmer weather as a base to visit Port Arthur and other places on the peninsular. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys comfortable, quality accommodation.

We are a family of six and the accomodation was spacious and comfortable. The house was super clean, and the views were truly lovely of the wild July weather over the bay. Thank you.

We stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. There were 6 adults and there was plenty of room and comfort. The views were fantastic and we were only minutes away from Port Arthur. It was easy to book and easy to stay.

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 young children) stayed at Bay Retreat in March this year for 2 night. We had a fantastic stay and were really impressed with the accommodation, wish we would have been able to stay a few more days. Lovely clean house with all the facilities you could want, this was the best accommodation we stayed in during our 2 week trip. Only minutes from the Port Arthur Historic site and close to the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park at Taranna, the location was ideal to explore this lovely area. I'd highly recommend this accommodation.

The four of us stayed at Bay Retreat in February for 2 nights. It was a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Only a few minutes from Port Arthur which meant we could stay there all day. If you turn left at the end of the drive and follow the road to the end there are magnificent sea views. The accomodation was great everything you need for self catering including a big barbeque.

Fantastic place to end a wonderful day at Port Arthur, felt like we had walked into "our house" for the night, everything we could ever want or need and of course, the added bonus of the magical scenery overlooking Port Arthur and the bay...We will be returning to Tassie to see more of this wonderful island, and we WILL be staying at least 2 nights here....well beyond our wildest expectations...Thank you for providing accommodation with obvious location/homeliness, cleanliness, thoughtful planning and comfort all thrown into one....

Out of all the places we stayed in Tasmania, Bay Retreat was the best. We enjoyed the great scenic view of the outside and have enjoyed the comfort of the house. We could feel that the house was built by an architect and we regret that we stayed only 1 night. Out of all of the cabins, lodges, caravan parks and villas we stayed in Bay retreat was the best. Had a wonderful night at the house, so easy to get around from there. A little hard to find as we were not expecting a house. Will try to stay again when we come down again to wonderful Tassie.

Enchanted! Comfortable bed and very well use of space. We were glad to have booked two nights, apart from a short visit to the Port Arthur we just hanged around the house. Very relaxing and peaceful.

My family and I had a fantastic time on the Peninsular but made even better by staying in your fantastic holiday house. It was so calm and peaceful I could have stayed forever. We have stayed at Bay Retreat several times with friends and family. We find the accomodation very comfortable and peaceful.It is very close to Port Arthur which we visit regularly with our Ticket of Leave Pass. We will be doing the three hour outing with Tasman Cruises in September. We always have a meal at Mussel Boys when we are staying at Bay Retreat. We always look forward to our stay.

We had a week in Tassie, the stay at your house was definitely the highlight of our trip. You guys have made your house very special. Thanks for sharing it with us. We wish we could find more accommodation like yours across Tassie. Hope to be back soon!

We had a girls night away whilst my sister was visiting from NSW. The accommodation was more than we had expected. Very neat and quiet. Was lovely to walk through the gate to the water with a glass of champagne and watch the skate in the water and the sunset. Will definetely be staying again for longer than 1 night next time. You should be proud of the accommodation you provide and I have highly recommended it to friends.

As they say in 'The Castle' - "Love the serenity". As a family who does not normally stop, this will be the place for us when next we need to stop. I certainly have recommended your fantastic clean, modern accommodation to others. We will definitely be back but next time for longer.
