Far from Home - Family Tour
Do you know what were the weights of the leg irons that the convicts used to wear? Do you know why convicts were wearing different types of uniforms back in the day? Do you know what was the youngest age for a child to be transported in the 1800s? To find the answers, come and join our new family tour - Far from Home .

The Tasman Peninsula is surely the home of some most talented artists. Next time when you visit, don’t forget to stop by the Asylum/Town Hall at the Port Arthur Historic Site for this great local art exhibition from 9 – 17 October. All valid Port Arthur Historic Site ticket holders, and local residents and rate payers can enjoy the exhibition for free. No bookings are required but please check in at our ticketing counter when you arrive.
